Treti Galaxie curated the 6th Edition of the CLUB GAMeC PRIZE with an exhibition entitled “Time Is Never Time At All,” inviting artists Monia Ben Hamouda, Irene Fenara, Michele Gabriele, and Giuliana Rosso. 

A commission of experts formed by Lorenzo Giusti (GAMeC Director), Denis Isaia (MART Curator), Attilia Fattori Franchini (Curator of the 5th Edition of the Prize), Edoardo Monti (GAMeC Club Board Member) and Stefania Lovat (GAMeC Club Supporter) evaluated the artworks presented in the exhibition.   

The winner of the 6th Edition of the CLUB GAMeC PRIZE is Giuliana Rosso. 

“Luna azzurra” (2019) has been acquired by the GAMeC Club and became part of the Collection of GAMeC – Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Bergamo.

The title of the show is taken from the first verse of the song Tonight tonight (1995) by the American band Smashing Pumpkins. The song is about uncertainty and change, themes summarized in the two different ways in which it is possible to understand this first verse, which can be intended as “time is not at all time,” but also “it is never the right time.” 

The selection of artworks will move in the ideal space between these two reading hypotheses: if Giuliana Rosso’s and Irene Fenara’s works anticipate and foreshadow the stasis and the relationship with technology that developed during the pandemic years, Michele Gabriele’s works are proposed as a response born out of introspection and the slowing down of daily rhythms, while Monia Ben Hamouda’s are the result of a reformulation of the techniques and materials she employs.

The event is sponsored by the Club GAMeC association, Friends of the Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Bergamo, with the support of FINECO B A N K – Bergamo.
